Chris is a lifelong music fan and a patron of The Acorn since he & his wife moved to New Buffalo in 2015. His passion for live music started in college when he was program director for entertainment at John Carroll University, and continued as he worked afterward in the concert promotion industry. He is the founder of Schubas Tavern and Lincoln Hall in Chicago and presented live concerts at those clubs every night for over 25 years.

Chris also worked in the magazine advertising business for 40 years as Midwest sales representative for such titles as ROLLING STONE, THE ATLANTIC, SPIN, VIBE, ESPN, & FAST COMPANY.
